-- The Islamic State (IS) group has released a video purporting to show nine militants behind the November Paris terrorist attacks that killed 130 people.

-- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said the IS group is a "very real" threat to the country, hours after a video from the regional wing of IS warned of attacks in the Muslim-majority nation for arresting its supporters.

-- A bomb attack claimed by IS militants killed at least three people in the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli in the mostly Kurdish-controlled Hasaka province on January 24, a Kurdish official and a monitoring group said.
